12 thg 1, 2022 · Between Blackboard, Canvas, and D2L, Canvas is a better product by a long shot. It works better, but also has better integrations, a better community, better conferences, etc. I've known people who use D2L though, and they've talked about how good it is for non-standard enrollment needs (like a rolling enrollment), or for things like competency based education.
As a student using Canvas as our LMS, I gotta say that the Better Canvas Extension is a need! It's been great for a little extra motivation and productivity in studying. With this extension, I can set it to dark mode and change the theme of my courses. I'm interested to see what others are using, share your hidden gems pls! :D
7 thg 12, 2021 · Advice to all students regarding the canvas grade calculator Check This Out! Don't trust the final grade canvas calculates. Never trust it. The calculator looks legit, but it is almost always wrong. Especially if your professor drops a lot of assignments, adds bonus points to assignments, etc.

8 thg 10, 2023 · Not sure who all uses Canvas here, but I've recently started using these two extensions, and it's been great for a little extra motivation!! You can set dark mode, change your to-do lists formats, enter card customizations for your courses! The task manager shows a nice weekly completion chart.
31 thg 7, 2021 · Better canvas gives canvas a dark mode. It also lists a preview of upcoming assignments for each class, with due dates (!!!!) on the dashboard. Hopefully it can help others not miss due dates too :)
28 thg 10, 2020 · Google extension for Canvas that enables Dark Mode! Follow link or just type “better canvas” on google and it should be the first one then add extension, enable dark mode, refresh, done.
18 thg 1, 2022 · Canvas color codes the classes which really helps with my adhd, you can see all the major things coming up for the week right away, and teachers can add folders from a list but can’t make stupid folder black holes like they loooooove to do on blackboard. And it actually has a mostly entirely functioning app. Absolutely blew my mind.
